Obituary of Joseph F. Colosimo

Joseph F. Colosimo, 75, of Syracuse, New York, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse.? Joseph was born March 8, 1931 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, the son of Salvatore and Vera (Gigliotti) Colosimo.? He moved to Syracuse, New York in 1953.? He retired as Shop Supervisor from General Motors in 1986 following 33 years of service.? He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #625 in Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and was a handyman who loved to work on internal combustion engines.? Most of his spare time was spent with his wife and family and he looked forward to and enjoyed every moment spent with his granddaughters.? Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Louise Walker; daughter, Michele (John) Kresser of Onondaga Hill, New York; son, Joseph J. (Donna) Colosimo of Lancaster, New York; two sisters, Christine Goodnow and Carmella Zinga both of Syracuse, New York; four brothers, Eugene Colosimo of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, John Gigliotti of Las Vegas, Carmen and James Gigliotti of Carbondale, Pennsylvania; his pride and joy, four granddaughters, Melissa and Kara Colosimo, Lindsey and Abbey Kresser. Funeral Services:? Monday, March 27, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S.
