Obituary of Edward F. Burton

Edward F. Burton, 59, life resident of Syracuse, New York, passed away at home Saturday, March 4, 2006 after a long courageous battle with cancer surrounded by those who loved him. Edward was born August 7, 1946 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Wolford and Bernadine Burton. He retired from Crucible Steel in 1985 after 15 years. He was an avid sports fan and was facinated with science fiction and the unknown. He enjoyed wildlife and loved animals. Left at home to cherish is memory are his wife of 18 years, Beverly Chase Burton and his beloved animal friends. He is also survived by his adored stepdaughter, Carla Weatherly of Homestead, Florida; stepson, Kennith Kuhrt of LaHoya, California; four brothers: Bruce, Ronald, William and Daniel Burton all of Syracuse, New York; his former wife, Patricia Burton of Homestead, Florida; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Beverly Lanpher and Linda Bengar. Services: Saturday, March 11, 2006, 12:00 noon at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
