Obituary of Jane A. Bittel

Jane A. Whitlock Bittel, 53, of Liverpool, New York, passed away at home Monday, February 27, 2006 to be with the Lord, many loved ones and the big party in the sky, following a courageous four year battle with cancer. Jane was born to loving parents James and Barbara (Gardner) Whitlock on November 13, 1952 in Burlingtron, Vermont and then moved to the Fairmount, New York area where she graduated from Bishop Ludden in 1970. She married her soul mate, best friend and love, James "Jim" Bittel in 1972 in Framingham, Massachusetts where she was working at Allstate Insurance Co. handling homeowners and auto claims. She then moved back to the Syracuse, New York area and started working at BG Sulzle in 1974 where she worked with a terrific group of people for 28 years whom she always kept in her thoughts and a special friend thru thick and thin, no matter how long or far. She so enjoyed her family holiday parties, a houseful and keeping busy with her home, crafts and her pride and joy, Kayla and CJ. Jane is survived by her husband of 33 years, James; one daughter, Marnie Liegh (Charles) Bittel of Clay, New York; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathryn (Terry) Mulhauser of Jamesville, New York and Bobbi (Paul) Burgess of Fayetteville, New York; two grandchildren, Kayla and Charles "CJ" Bittel-Kelly; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, James P. Whitlock in 1995, mother, Barbara G. Whitlock in 1997 and nephew, Eric J. Mulhauser in 2005. Services: Thursday, March 2, 3006, 10:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling Hours: Wednesday, March 1, 2006, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S.
