Obituary of Daniel Lee Ward

Daniel Lee Ward, age 56, of Syracuse, New York died Sunday, January 27, 2002 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Ward was born June 27, 1945 on the Onondaga Nation, the son of Douglas Harry and Christine I. (Patterson) Ward. He was a 1963 Graduate of Blodget Vocational High School. He retired after 19 years with Onondaga County Department of Drainage and Sanitation. He then worked for 15 years with Roofers Local 195. He was a member of Roofers Local 195 and the Snipe Clan of the Onondaga Nation. He is survived by two daughters: Christine K. Ward from Hogansburg, New York and Danielle R. Ward from Syracuse, New York; three sons: Daniel M. Ward from Camillus, New York, Craig S. Ward from Syracuse, New York and Christopher T. Ward from Syracuse, New York; three sisters: Olive C. Ward-Hendrickson from Seattle, Washington, his twin, Donna L. Ward-Emling from Syracuse, New York and Sharon Marris from Solvay, New York; two brothers: Martin A. Ward from Syracuse, New York and Warren C. Ward from Syracuse, New York; two great aunts: Elizabeth Patterson from Auburn, New York and Norma Patterson from the Onondaga Nation; five grandchildren. Funeral: Tuesday, January 29, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York with Pastor Gary Weller officiating.
