I want to express my sympathy to my Great Aunt's Family (My mother, Paula Town, was her niece). I always enjoyed stories I have heard of her. What stands out is how happy all the memories retold were and the happiness in the eyes of my mom and her sister as they spoke of their time with her. What a testament to her to have brought so much joy to so many! Thinking of you all.

I am a nephew of Virginia Scida and cousin of her children- Joe, Dan, Pete and Theresa. I first met Rene in the summer of 1991 on my first visit to Tully. It was one of the best vacations of my life, and Rene was a big part of that. I loved our great conversations about so many topics. She was so intelligent with a great sense of humor. She loved Syracuse sports and the Sky Chiefs, so sports chats were always fun. She had a genuine integrity and sincerity at all times, and was very passionate in her values and beliefs. May you cherish the memory of this special woman who touched so many lives. You have my deep sympathy and comfort.

my great Aunt Reyne was so many wonderful things, but to me in particular she was someone I looked up to, she was funny and we shared the same sense of humor. I'm so grateful to have so many wonderful memories, one being her teaching me how to properly "blow" tinsel on the Christmas tree at her Christmas parties that I fondly remember attending every year as a child. As I got older I stopped going to her Christmas parties for reasons unknown but after I had my 2nd child and got married I reached out to reconnect and am so happy that my girls got to attend at least 1 Christmas party at their great great Aunt's home and I'm glad that they now too have that memory. I love u, I will miss you and may you RIP. Also I bet as she walked through the pearly gates of heaven it was quite a reunion with those that have passed before her and I'm sure that her and my mother and my grandmother are all having quite the reunion right now.
