To the family of Marion Siddall, I am sad to hear of Marion's passing. I first met Sid at the YMCA when we discussed my father's service in WWII. Somehow I met Mrs. Siddall and found myself at her home. She tried to teach me the art of making scrubbies with little success. More importantly, she shared lunches with me and her joy of food and recipes. I still have and enjoy her recipes for chocolate chip cookies and beans. They are delicious. I don't really understand why she allowed me in my 30's into her life in the country with Sid but she did. She so enjoyed herself with her hobbies. She was really good at them too. I hold her enthusiasm and joy as my fondest memories of her. She also spoke of her family and her and Sid's pride over their accomplishments. Our odd generational friendship and mentorship make me smile with appreciation. Both Marion and Sid were so special that I had to let you know of their impact on me. My parents too were part of the greatest generation. I am in awe of their example. Sincerely, in sympathy, Flora Gagliostro, 36 Hockeborn Ave. Auburn, NY.
