Obituary of Elmer E. Koons Sr.

Elmer E. Koons Sr., 93 of LaFayette, NY, passed peacefully at home with daughter and son in law on July 14, 2023.  Every now and then God blesses us with someone who possess angelic like qualities - (loving, kind, peaceful, good hearted, caring and giving).  Born in Paxinos, PA in 1929. Elmer served time in the US Air Force before marrying his wife, Dorothy B. Koons of 70 years.  After retiring, he enjoyed long Sunday rides with his wife - Wheel of Fortune and Old Western Movies.

Elmer is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; son in law, Mark Atkinson; and daughter in law, Victoria Koons.

He leaves behind his four daughters, Debbie (John) Thomas; Gail (Michael) Clemens, Daphanie (Titus) Johnson, Melissa; two sons, Harry (Debbie) Koons and Elmer Koons Jr.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Service were private. 

We will miss that smile that could light up a room.
