The death of a loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care about you and your family during this difficult time and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. We pray that Jehovah the God of all comfort is with the family during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Laurie was kind and generous always willing to help anyone I could tell you a lot of stories about her but one of my favorites is when when we all got in trouble at school Bert and Helen they got suspended of course .we had a group of us that would walk home together Kyle Bunny Helen Berta and myself chased the sisters home we were going to fight them. Can’t even remember why. I was the one mouthing off to the mom and as we know when's moms are not around you’re going to swear. So don’t think your parents don’t know that they do they did it too. Well the next day in school we were all called to the office no one snitched.then Helen started making fun of the school cops Clown socks . And Berta wel she files suit at first they were just being sent home until Berta stuck the middle finger up and that led to the suspension. I did get the same punishment when I got home mom said she knew I had something to do with it. Laurie and I grew apart for a while as we grow into young adults but as fate would have it I became part of the family, but she was more than a sister-in-law she was a true friend someone I confided ini and cried to. when my dishes was dirty and I couldn’t do them after surgery she came over to do them and then let Ray have it we go to church and on Thursday she was a diehard she’d go in the morning in the evening ,we went to the races together and we used a puzzle a lot, she had she even help me sneak cigarettes. Laurie also inspired me more than she will ever know when she first got diagnosed with cancer I cried she looked at me and said why it’s not gonna change anything. The strength encourage she had was incredible Laurie never had a job but she worked hard all her life her and Sherry worked hard trying to keep the family together she worked hard at making sure family members had something For Christmas including the grownups (care packages )was my favorite. All the kids got crochet Dolls and they all loved them she would always cook for whatever the occasion was , oh boy her famous mac & cheese Holly you better keep that going. Bernie help Aunt Sherry with some nut roll this year please and Lexi you got to go learn the recipe got to keep that going to. Laurie didn’t have much money but she was rich the grief and sadness that everyone here has today as proof. How rich she really was. She truly is an inspiration to me and I am Proud and honored to have had her as a sister love you Laurie Rest In Peace

I would like to send my condolences to the family and sending closure. As this has been a time coming that none of us wanted but god called her home as she has done her time here on Earth and has raised a beautiful family that will carry her legacy on. Laurel was a huge part of the family and loved anyone that come to know her. She would feed a starving belly, give you a place to sleep, her support in anyway she could. May god give us the strength to greave and hold our memories close and family a little more closer. May you all be blessed and carried in gods love.
