Well grandpa you fought your hardest, but it was your time to go be with your family and friends who went to heaven before you. I have such pride in saying I am your grandaughter. There is no man stronger than you and none are kinder. I feel blessed to have shared your love for so many years. I do not have any regrets when it comes to you and I hope all those involved in your life can hopefully say the same. I can't wait to see you again. As you always said; see you Manana!

God saw you getting tired,And a cure was not meant to be,So he put his arms around you,And whispered "come to me,"A golden heart stopped beating,Hard working hands to rest,God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best...unknown.Our deepest sympathy is with your family at this difficult time.

Throughout one's life a Dad is loving, protecting, and supporting. You are that and more for me, Dad, and always will be. This past year has been one of the hardest in all of our lives, but it was also the most enlightening year in my life. You are truly a man we all love and admire for all your strength and compassion. I treasure our ""Buggy Rides"" and your smile, even when there was no reason to smile. You are in our hearts and part of our lives always. I will smile when I think of you, not cry. Thumbs up, Dad! I love You. Karen

I never met Herman but was friends with his grand-daughter, Serena. She always had the best things to say about him and the relationship that they shared ment a lot to her. That, to me, means that he was a wonderful man to leave such a legacy behind him. I am sure he will be missed by all.

Grandpa,You will forever be known as the man with a "million-dollar smile" that could light up the darkest room. You are the most beautiful person that I have ever known. You always had the patience of a saint and the charm of a thousand men. I will forever cherish my memories of you. Thank you for being so strong for all of us over the last year. I love you so much Grandpa and someday will be reunited. I'm so proud of you and everything that you represent. It's not goodbye...it's "so long" as you always said.

Grandpa,You will always be with me forever and ever. It is sad that we have to let you go, but we know you are in a safe place now and without the pain you have fought so hard to overcome for all of us. We are very proud for the way you fought day in and day out, and not a minute goes by that we will not be thinking of you. From your grandson who loves you very much, peace be with you and know that you will be missed.LoveCasey
