Virginia M. Knox, 86, of Valley Vista Apts. in Syracuse, New York, died Friday, July 7, 2006 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Virginia was born August 6, 1919 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Ernest and Ada (Doran) Armstrong. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and The Knothole Club. She was an avid fan of the Syracuse Sky Chiefs. Virginia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (David) Edmonds of Onondaga Hill, New York; two brothers, Richard Armstrong of Liverpool, New York and Robert Armstrong of Horseshoe Island, New York; three grandchildren, David (Christine) Edmonds of Cicero, New York; Kelly (Robert) Kelly of Onondaga Hill, New York and Kristen (John) Gunsalus of Onondaga Hill, New York; five great-grandchildren, Caleb, Aidan, Quinn and Keegan Kelly and Karah Edmonds. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Knox in 1981 and two sisters, Alice Armstrong and Mable Armstrong Fear.
