Obituary of Bruce Clark Doupe, Sr.

Bruce C. Doupe, Sr, 74, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Bruce was born in 1944 in Lafayette, NY. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Bruce enjoyed spending time tinkering around his 45 acres of land. He could be found making honey from his bees, cutting logs into boards, or infamously getting some sort of lawn/farm equipment stuck in water somewhere on his property. He was the father to four boys who made him extremely proud, and the grandfather to seventeen grandchildren who loved him dearly. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Maybelle Doupe, and brothers: David, Michael, Roger, and Mark Doupe. He is survived by his four children: Bruce (Shannon) Doupe Jr., Brian (Brenda) Doupe,  Timothy Doupe, Michael (Emy) Doupe; 17 grandchildren; brothers: Bradley, Bobby, Richie, John, and Billy Doupe; and sisters: Kathy Pistello, and Nancy Pittsley. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm, at the Lafayette Apple Festival Grounds, at 5330 Rowland Road, Lafayette, NY.
