Obituary of Kenneth H. Neuman

Kenneth “Buggy” H. Neuman, Sr., 79, died May 25, 2022, after a brief illness. Ken was born in Otisco, NY to Harold W. and Eleanor (King) Neuman in 1943.

He graduated from LaFayette Central school, where he lettered in football and was a member of the Honor Society. After a few odd jobs, he was employed in the Maintenance Department for the LaFayette Central School District for over 25 years, until he retired in 2013. He was a lifetime member of the LaFayette Fire Department, where nine of those years he served as the Assistant Fire Chief. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always made time for his family.

He is survived by: daughters, Yvette (Jeff) Hinman, Kerstin (Darren) Forbes, Sandie Browngardt, and sons, Ken Neuman Jr. and Steve Knickerbocker.; several grandchildren, six great grandchildren; many nieces; and nephews. Along with his parents, Ken is predeceased by: his loving companion, Elizabeth Knickerbocker; daughter, Sue Knickerbocker; sister, Mary Calabro; and brother, Russell Neuman. A special thanks to Artie Gabriel for all the care and assistance he provided to the entire family.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 4 pm to 7 pm at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, LaFayette. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4 at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cardiff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider memorial donations in Ken's name to: the LaFayette Fire Dept, PO Box 260, LaFayette, NY, 13084.
