Obituary of Cornell Richard Patsos

Cornell Richard Patsos, 78, of Nedrow, New York died Monday, August 21, 2006 at home. Cornell was born March 13, 1928 in Eastwood, New York, the son of Nicholas James and Louisa (Mack Nair) Patsos. He was employed for 35 years at Carrier Corp and served in the Navy during World War II & Korea. He was a communicant of St. James Church, a member of the Syracuse Pistol Club, Nedrow Sportsman Club and Syracuse Model Railroad Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Cornell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Marie (Panighetti) Patsos; one daughter, Judith (John) Ponto of Liverpool, New York; one son, Richard A. (Judy) Patsos of Berlin, New York; four grandchildren, Anthony and Matthew Ponto, Matina and Nate Patsos; three sisters, Elizabeth Moon of Florida, Jeannette Beck of Marcellus, New York and Luella Cleverley of Poughkeepsie, New York; one brother, James Patsos Sr. of Waterloo, New York. Services: Friday, August 25, 2006, 10:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
