Obituary of Melvin A. Mel" Doctor

Melvin A. "Mel" Doctor, 51, of Syracuse, New York, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at home. Melvin was born January 4, 1955 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Alfred Laverne and Birdie Virginia (Hill) Doctor. He was a graduate of LaFayette High School and attended Haskell Indian Institute in Kansas. He was employed by Greyhound Bus Lines for 25 years. He was a member of Salt City Dart League and enjoyed sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Vincent Doctor and a sister, Karen Doctor. Mel is survived by his son: Allan D. Doctor of Syracuse, New York; companion, Pamela Quesnel of Syracuse, New York; two sisters, Virginia "Ginny" Doctor of Alaska and Delores Doctor of Syracuse, New York; four brothers, Laverne (Kathie) Doctor of LaFayette, New York, Ronald (Doreen) Doctor of Skaneateles, New York, Alan and Randall Doctor both of Syracuse, New York; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
