Obituary of Betty Jane Murphy

Betty Jane Murphy, 83, of Jamesville, New York and formerly of Forest Avenue in Syracuse, New York, died Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Community General Hospital in Syracuse. Betty was born December 14, 1922 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Harold Ross and Sara Marie (Woolson) Langley. She was a graduate of Central Tech High School and was formerly employed at L. C. Smith and as a hairdresser. She was a former President of the Brighton School Mother?s Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Murphy, November 30, 1996. Betty is survived by her daughter, Diane K. Murphy of Baldwinsville, New York; son and daughter-in-law, Michael R. (Valerie) Murphy of Syracuse, New York; two granddaughters, Amy and Jenna Murphy; sister, Carolyn Wilcox of Meridian, New York; many nieces and nephews .
