Obituary of Linda Lee Johnson

Linda L. Johnson, 64, of LaFayette, New York died Friday, May 12, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Linda was born August 15, 1941 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Edwin L. and Bernice (Emery) Aldrich. She graduated from LaFayette High School and SUNY at Geneseo with Bachelors in Library Science. Linda retired in 2005 from Onondaga County Public Library following 20 years as Librarian of Children's World, and previously worked for Westhill School District as Librarian of the High School. Linda was a very active member of Columbian Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and involved in the Women's Association. She loved penguins, lighthouses and enjoyed reading and crafting. She was a great sports fan, particularly baseball. She was predeceased by her father Edwin L. Aldrich in 1943 and her step-father Alvah Bush in 1990. Linda is survived by her son, K. Eric Johnson of East Syracuse, New York; daughter, Kristina (Kevin) Olmstead of Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida; her mother Bernice Emery Bush of LaFayette, New York; three sisters, Judy (David) Cree and Sue Rimkevitz both of LaFayette, New York and Diane (Phil) Bova of Syracuse, New York; two brothers, Ray Aldrich of Richton, Mississippi and George Bush of LaFayette, New York; two grandchildren, Shannara Olmstead and Philip Reynolds; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Services: Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 11:00 a.m. in Columbian Presbyterian Church, Corner of Route 20 and Route 11, LaFayette, New York. Burial: Private.
