Obituary of Eleanor L. Stone

Eleanor L. (Ennis) Stone, 82, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2006 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Eleanor was born and raised in Towanda, Pennsylvania. She attended school in Towanda and graduated from Martinsburg, Pennsylvania High School. Mrs. Stone was employed by the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, until her marriage. She was employed by the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, while her husband attended Submarine School. On January 31, 1944 she married Edward W. Stone and has lived in Syracuse, New York since 1949. Mrs. Stone was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband Edward; sons, Robert E. (Kathy) Stone, Lexington, Kentucky, David C. (Anna Mae) Stone, East Syracuse, New York; daughters, Janet E. (Richard) Harding, Fayetteville, New York and Susan M. (David) Zenger, Collierville, Tennessee; a brother, Joseph Ennis, Towanda, Pennsylvania and Barefoot Bay, Florida; six grandsons, one granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
