Obituary of Edna May Hardke

Edna May Six Hardke, 84, of Syracuse, New York, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital in Syracuse. Edna was born November 23, 1921 in Beverly, New Jersey, the daughter of August and Helen (Fogarty) Six. She retired from the Syracuse City School District. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and The Blue Jay Camping Club. She treasured her time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arthur Hardke, August 27, 2000 and a son, Timothy Alan Hardke, April 24, 2005. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin (Heather) Hardke of Cazenovia, New York; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Jim) Lawless of LaFayette, New York and Shirley (Perry) Woods of Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Nancy) Six of Florida; grandson, Keith Hardke of Charlotte, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Rachel and Alexa Hardke both of Cazenovia, New York; several nieces and nephews.
