Obituary of Sarah L. Allen

Sarah L. Allen, 84, of Nedrow, New York, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Sarah was born April 9, 1921 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Floyd and Anna (Ferry) Hamilton. She retired in 1986 as a book binder from Vernon McMillan Inc.. She was a Spencer Corressetter and formerly worked at Penney Curtis Bakery on LeMoyne Ave. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and St. Andrews Church in the Valley. Sarah is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Sallyanne R. (Ray) Carr of Nedrow, New York and Ruby G. (Frank) Romeo of Eastwood, New York; three sons and daughters-in-law, Martin R. (Roseletta) Allen of Syracuse, New York, William F. (Catherine) Allen of Syracuse, New York and Frederick J. (Kathleen) Allen of Camden, New York; 23 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, five sisters and two brothers. Services: Friday, March 10, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York. Burial: White Chapel Memory Gardens, Kinne Road, Dewitt, New York.
