Obituary of James F. Quinn

James F. "Jim" Quinn Jr., 86, of Syracuse, New York, departed this earth unexpectedly, Thursday, January 12, 2006 as a result of a fatal injury. James was born April 27, 1919 in Syracuse, New York, the son of James F. Sr. and Irene (Grenier) Quinn. He was a life long resident of Syracuse; recently lived at Nob Hill and formerly on Lynn Circle. Jim was a cheery man and many adored his good nature and humor. He was a graduate of St. Anthony's and attended Purdue University. As a Master Plumber, he applied his skills at Quinn Plumbing and later in engineering and construction. He was active in the Boy Scouts, was a licensed private pilot and was a communicant of St. James Church. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Sellin Quinn; three children, James R. (Cindy) Quinn of Salcha, Alaska, Jeanne (Garhard) Waclena of Syracuse, New York and Judith (William) Quinn-Bliss of Wayne, New Jersey; three grandchildren, Tricia Waclena, Erica Willard and James Quinn; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Willard; two sisters, Audrey Redmond of Lakeland, Florida and Joyce Neuman of Syracuse, New York. He was predeceased by a son, John, December 2, 1996. Services: Monday, January 16, 2006, 10:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling Hours: Sunday, January 15, 2006, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S.
