Obituary of Paul W. Long

Paul W. Long, 79 of Pompey died Sunday at Community General Hospital. Born at home in Pompey in 1926. He attended Pompey Union School, worked on his parent's farm and served in the U.S. Navy. He attended St. Andrew & St. Bernard of Rochester. He was employed by Lincoln Bank for 33 years when he retired as Vice President in 1986. He was a life member of the Pompey Hill Fire Department, Pompey Rod and Gun Club, A.O.H., and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member and former President of CNY Bankers Association. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Pompey. He is survived by his wife of 50 years the former Rita White, his children; Kevin of Connecticut, Eileen of Pompey, Maureen of Fabius and Christopher of Pompey, his brother; Richard Long, Jr. of Manlius, three sisters; Catherine Healy of Auburn, Elizabeth Jenner of Trumansburg and Rose Ryan of Cazenovia, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00A.M. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Church 7386 Academy Street, Pompey. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
