Obituary of Edward Briggs

Edward Briggs, 63, of Onondaga Hill, New York, died Thursday, November 24, 2005 at Community General Hospital. Edward was born December 8, 1941 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Claude H. and Margaret R. (Armstrong) Briggs. A life resident of Syracuse, he retired as a Lieutenant from the Syracuse Fire Department in 1985 after 20 years of service. He was co-owner of Ed & Frank?s Automotive in Syracuse for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gambling and traveling. Edward is survived by his wife of nine years, Karen Walters Briggs; one daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Roger Herzog of Central Square, New York; one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Cheryl Briggs of Onondaga Hill, New York; two stepsons, Jonathan Williams of Onondaga Hill, New York and Michael Loguidice of Clay, New York; stepdaughter, Christina Loguidice of Baldwinsville, New York; one sister, Elaine Pendergass of Liverpool, New York; two brothers, Robert Briggs of East Syracuse, New York and Dick Briggs of Florida; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
