Obituary of Josef Sepp" Armannsberger

Josef "Sepp" Armannsberger, 75, of Nedrow, New York, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York with his loving family at his side. Josef was born December 26, 1929 in Mittenhenheim, Germany, the son of Johann and Franziska (Fischer) Armannsberger. He lived in Oberschleissheim near Munich before settling in Nedrow in 1963 with his wife Helene. During his career as a precision tool grinder, he worked at Rockwell International, McLaw Tools and had a successful tool grinding business. He was a talented artist who shared his passion of oil painting landscapes for his friends and family. Joe was also an avid videographer and a member of the German Arion Club. He was a communicant of St. James Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Helene Birkner Armannsberger; two daughters and sons-in-law, Esther (Mike) Grakowsky of Pittsford, New York and Susan (Frank) Cristiano of New Hartford, New York; two granddaughters, Elise and Marlena Grakowsky; two brothers, Hans Fischer of Oberschleissheim and Adolf (Hildegard) Armannsberger of Oberschleissheim; two sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth Styb of Syracuse, New York and Therese (Wolfgang) Kanthak of Oberschleissheim; two brothers-in-law, Max Birkner-Winkler of Italy and Heinz Birkner of Munich; one sister-in-law, Lotti Armannsberger of Oberschleissheim; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ludwig Armannsberger and Wilhelm Armannsberger and a brother-in-law, David Styb.
