Obituary of Kathleen Margare

Kathleen "Katie" Margaret Purcell Merluzzi, 49, of Syracuse, New York, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York after a brave struggle with lymphoma. Kathleen was born September 1, 1956 in Syracuse, New York. Kathleen was a graduate of Assumption Academy. She was a Certified Interior Designer employed at Purcell's Wallpaper & Paint in East Syracuse for over 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Jamesville, New York and she had a great love of the outdoors. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. She was a very special aunt to her nieces and nephews and she will be greatly missed by all. Kathleen is survived by her husband of 24 years, Miles; her mother, Nancy Campbell Schattner; her father, Richard Purcell Sr.; two sisters: Lynn Purcell Marinelli and Susan Purcell Popov; four brothers: Richard, Steve, Tom and John Purcell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. At Kathleen's request, there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private.
