Uncle Walter was one of the most dynamic people I have ever met. As I'm a rather reserved Brit, his 'can do' approach to life was a revelation to me as a kid. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by a task ahead, I remember him saying "Let's up and at 'em!". There are so many happy memories: How much Mummy and Daddy enjoyed their great friendship with Walt and Hollis, meeting Walt and Hollis at Southampton off the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth (1) liners, Christmas in LaFayette. Uncle Walter was a joy to have known. With love, Ann (nee Wilder)
