Obituary of Jean M. Carr

Jean M. Carr, age 82, of The Valley in Syracuse, New York died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Jean was born May 14, 1922 in Plattsburgh, New York the daughter of William and Ruth (Stuart) Mehan. She retired from Syracuse City School District in 1985 after more than 20 years of service as a bus aide for the mentally and physically challenged. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, enjoyed Bingo, crafting, traveling and summers at Lake Champlain and winters at Anna Maria Island, Florida. She loved to shop and walk the malls. She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Carr on March, 13, 2005 and a daugher, Mary Lynn Carr in 1993. Jean is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Corrie Lopipero of Camillus, New York, Barbara Carr of Liverpool, New York and Kimberly and Eric Broeker of Cicero, New York; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William G. and Patricia Carr of Plattsburgh, New York and James S. Carr of Plattsburgh, New York; one sister, Pat Irwin of Potsdam, New York; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services: Tuesday, April 5, 2005, 9:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc. and 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
