Obituary of Zelda P. Williams

Zelda P. Williams, 79, formerly of Brighton Towers in Syracuse, New York died Monday, March 21, 2005 at Francis House in Syracuse. Zelda was born March 17, 1926 in Endicott, New York, the daughter of Leon and Violet (Alden) Doolittle. She was a graduate of Elmira South Side High School. She worked for Van Duyn Home & Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of South East Hills Congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaiah "Ike" Williams, January 15, 2005 and a daughter, Linda Hogan, December 20, 2004. Zelda is survived by two daughters, Roxanna Eaton of Bradenton, Florida and Jacqueline Zook of Syracuse, New York; three sons, Miles Barnes of Elmira, New York, Howard Lockwood of Palmetto, Florida and Clifton Lockwood of Syracuse, New York; two sisters, Edna Brown of Horseheads, New York and Wanda Standard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one stepson, Melvin Williams of Syracuse, New York; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services: Thursday, March 24, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York. Calling Hours: Wednesday, March 23, 2005, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
