Obituary of Joyce Ann B. Rouse

Joyce Ann Rouse, 58, of Onondaga Hill, New York passed away Saturday, March 19, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Joyce was born May 10, 1946 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Walter A. and Elsie Rose (Gehm) Barr. She was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy Class of 1965. She has worked for Crest Cadillac for the past 18 years. She was a life member of Atonement Lutheran Church, and received the Atonement Ministries Community Service Award for 2004. She has bowled in many leagues over the years and was currently serving as Sergeant-at-Arms of the Syracuse Women's Bowling Association. Joyce is survived by her two sons, John Charles Baker of Cortland, New York and Nicholas Patrick Rouse of Onondaga Hill, New York; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Paige Wheeler of Seneca Falls, New York; two brothers and sister-in-law, Walter A. and Alice Barr of Baldwinsville, New York and Bruce I. Barr of Onondaga Hill, New York; one sister, Carole D. Barr of Onondaga Hill, New York; many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Meldrum in 2002. Services: Wednesday, March 23, 2005, 11:00 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
