Obituary of Doris A. Buckley

Doris A. Buckley, 85, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York, following a brief illness. Doris was born April 24, 1919 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Hanley) Carroll. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Central Tech High School and a communicant of St. James Church. She enjoyed reading books, crocheting, and cooking for herself, family and friends. She was astute in current events, reading the Syracuse newspaper cover to cover daily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. Buckley, Mary 24, 1986 and a daughter, Maureen Leone, February 2001. Doris is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Susan (Michael) Coviello of Syracuse, New York, Janet (Richard) Chittenden of Holt, Michigan, and Julie (Terry) Hatakeyma of Schaumburg, Illinois; one son and his wife, Thomas C. (Elaine) Buckley of Pasadena, Maryland; one son-in-law, Gaetano Leone of Manlius, New York; 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
