Obituary of Anne G. Chilton

Anne G. Chilton, 83, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Anne was born July 11, 1921 in Chaumont Bay, the daughter of Charlie Harold and Pauline (Jackson) Needo. She graduated from Girls Cathedral in New York City and attended Syracuse University. She retired in 2002, at the age of 80, as a coordinator at Dorothy Day House. She formerly worked for 10 years as a coordinator at Christmas Bureau, Syracuse, New York. She was a volunteer at PEACE, Inc. She was on the Board of Syracuse Neighborhood Health Center when it opened and on the Board of Teacher's Corp. at Syracuse University. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome in 1985, a son, Jeremiah in 2000 and a brother, Harold Needo. Anne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Alan Ruskowski of Baldwinsville, New York; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark G. and Joanne Chilton of Geddes, New York and Matthew J. Chilton of Syracuse, New York; daughter-in-law, Donna Chilton of Chittenango, New York; five grandchildren, Cheryl, Tracy, Daniel, Rebecca and Carolena; several great-grandchildren. Services: Tuesday, March 8, 2005, 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1515 Midland Avenue, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Robert Chryst.
