Hello Eric, I never had the pleasure of meeting you, but I heard great things from my best friend Heather Quance (who knew you as a very close friend). Currently I'm taking a KARATE class with your dad at OCC. Last weekend your dad was taken by a tie-dye shirt I was wearing, when I found out about you today 4/1/09, everything started to make sense. I think in a way my artistic nature brings back wonderful memories of you; I heard you were a very talented artist & musician. I have spoken with your dad about my passion for art/music, and the wonderful things life has to offer. He's such a kind & understanding person, and from what I heard you were just as kind & wonderful. Art & music are my whole world. I would love to meet you in heaven one day & learn all about your life as an artist & musician. Maybe you can teach me how to work with glass & I'll show you how to paint beautiful landscapes. I know it will be just wonderful. I'm sure you have your own glass studio up there & the heavenly angels marvel at your beautiful creations. You are loved and missed,Your new future friend,~Mariana Roberts (Startwinkle)

Hi Gickman,So I've been thinking about you a lot. My favorite memory is when we took you out in the boat at Skaneateles and you snorkeled for the first time for hours! You were a great little guy and an even greater man who touched us all with his spirit and sensitivity. I love ya sweetie. Watch over your dear Mom, Dad and sister Amy. They, and we love you always.

I wanted to take this opportunity to express to your family my deep sadness in learning that Eric had passed. I had the pleasure to coach your son when we both were involved with the Valley Soccer Program, and while I did not know your son as he grew older, I feel most certain that he was a wonderful example of the warmth, wit, and decency that I have known his father to be. I do not pretend to fully appreciate the grief that you are experiencing at this moment. I pray that you will find meaningful peace when you are ready to do so. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.Bless you, Brian P. White

Dear Terry and Kathy,I am so sorry. Those words seem so hollow when such a tragedy occurs, however they are truly heart felt. Eric was a wonderful young man who was so full of life and he truly possessed the best of both of you. Since I started working in the Music Department, I had gotten to know him better and looked forward to seeing his smiling face grace my doorway. I will truly miss seeing him, and I can not even begin to imagine the pain and sense of loss that you both are enduring right now. Please know that you are in my heart and in my prayers. In Deepest Sympathy,Leslie

Terry & Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. Eric was truly a special young man that lit up a room when he entered. I'll never forget my surprise when, out of the blue, he called me Cher, which only his father and my good friends Mary & Lynn had ever called me. I will never forget his beautiful eyes and how they always twinkled as if full of mischief. And finally, I will never forget the moment when he realized I was one of his friend's Aunt. He was so cute, and Max teased him relentlessly for his inability to ""connect the dots"". May it comfort you to know how many lives Eric touched and how much Eric meant to so many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Cheryle & Mike

We are so blessed to have the privilege of knowing him. Eric always had a bright smile, and he had a knack of always making me laugh. He had a twinkle in his eye that conveyed how much he loved life. I only knew Eric through Jessica and Justin - but I always enjoyed seeing him and he always made us smile. He was a great friend to them and he will be sorely missed. It was a long time before I learned Eric's last name. He was at our house one time and I heard someone call him "Mulhauser". I asked if he was related to Terry, and of course he told me "That's my Dad". I told him long ago I had been a huge Kingsnakes fan. He said "My Dad" with such pride, it was a wonderful moment. Kathy &Terry-I heard abour Eric's passing this morning (Sunday) at breakfast. Last night, I was going through some of Sarah's albumns and came across a prom picture of Eric and Rebekah, and it brought a smile to my face that they were so grown up and beautiful that evening. How ironic, that already two of them have left us! I cling to those memories, as do we all. I wish that I could give you some great inspiring words to make this all make sense. It just doesn't. Not now at least. Sarah always believed that there is a reason for everything. I think she is right. For now, let the prayers and strength of those who love and care for you help you through what may seem to be impossible. God is there for you, always- you know this! We will continue to keep you in our prayers, especially praying for your strength and patience- because you will need these in abundance, and we want you to know that we are here for you.God bless you and your family-Much love,Joanne and Paul Webster
