Obituary of Elizabeth Tabor

Elizabeth Tabor, 81, died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville, New York. Elizabeth was born May 31, 1923 in Budapest, Hungary, the daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth (Deak) Pollak. She received her Bachelor?s Degree in Budapest and owned a dress making business in Budapest until she immegrated to the United States in 1950 where she continued to make and design clothing into her late 70?s. She was a communicant of St. Vincent DePaul?s Church and was involved in the Hungarian Culture Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Tabor in 1981. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Wolff Garritano of LaFayette, New York and a grandaughter, Erica Garritano of Maryland. Services: Monday, December 6, 2004, 10:15 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 6136 Cherry Valley Turnpike, LaFayette, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Mike Minehan. Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, 800 Grant Boulevard, Syracuse, New York. Calling Hours: Sunday, December 5, 2004, 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, New York.
