Obituary of Carol Mooney

Carol (Brophy) Mooney, 69, died Saturday, November 27, 2004 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center, Syracuse, New York. Carol was born June 28, 1935 in Syracuse, New York. She was a graduate of St. John The Baptist and attended St. Lucy?s High School. She retired in 1998 from Van Duyn Home & Hospital after 13 years. She was previously employed by New York Telephone Co. and Sears & Roebuck on South Salina Street in Syracuse. She was a communicant of St. Anthony?s and St. Ann?s Churches. Carol is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Carol and Mark Grosso of Liverpool, New York and Linda and Malcolm Driscoll of Onondaga Hill, New York; one son and his wife, Stephen and Marianne Mooney of Syracuse, New York; her mother, Lois M. Brophy of Syracuse, New York; one sister, Lois J. Brophy of Syracuse, New York; three brothers, R. Tim Brophy of Minoa, New York, Daniel Brophy of Kings Ferry, New York and David Brophy of Syracuse, New York; four grandchildren, Brian, Katie, Kristen and Hanna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Mooney in 1991 and her father, Robert C. Brophy in 2001. Services: Wednesday, December 1, 2004, 12:30 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc.
