Obituary of Mildred B. Christensen

Mildred B. Christensen, 90, of Onondaga Hill, New York where she lived with her grandson Scott and his wife Terry Hemmes, died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville, New York. Mildred was born November 10, 1913 in Oswego, New York, the daughter of Ivan P. and Hannah (Kirker) Kingsbury. She was a graduate of Oswego High School and Syracuse General Hospital Nursing School. She retired in 1975 after 16 years as a Registered Nurse at Van Duyn Home & Hospital and previously worked at the New York State TB Sanitarium. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Christensen in 1974. Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Carlene "Connie" Briglin of Cato, New York and Carol Thousand of Syracuse, New York; four grandchildren, Rick and Scott Hemmes, Brenda Harwood and Rob Thousand; five great-grandchildren.
