Obituary of Evelyn M. Seeber-Benner

Evelyn M. Seeber-Benner, 90, of Fairmount, New York died Friday, October 29, 2004 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Evelyn was born January 9, 1914 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Adolphus Alexander and Lillian (Best) Pursey. She was a graduate of Onondaga Valley High School. She worked at Jeans Decorations for 20 years. She was a 25 year volunteer at Community General Hospital and a member of their auxiliary. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, City View Garden Club, Camillus Country Club, Cross Lake Campers Association, Republican Committee Women 13th Ward and a past member of Frolic Chapter of OES. She was an avid bowler, golfer and SU Sports Fan. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Seeber in 1972 and her second husband Robert Benner in 1990. Evelyn is survived by two sons, Dick (Annie) Seeber of Cato, New York and Bob Seeber of Fairmount, New York; one brother, Clifford Pursey of North Carolina; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services: Tuesday, November 2, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse, New York. Burial: Greenlawn Cemetery, 2932 Warners Road, Warners, New York. Calling Hours: Monday, November 1, 2004, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street.
