Obituary of Frances Jones

Frances Jones, 76, of Syracuse, New York died Monday, September 20, 2004 at University Hospital, Syracuse. Frances was born March 10, 1928 on the Onondaga Nation, the daughter of Isaac Henhawk and Elizabeth Gibson. She was employed by Harry L. Cook Dry Cleaners and previously for R. E. Dietz Co.. She was a member of UAW and volunteered at the Native American Elder Program. She enjoyed going to Bingo and traveling with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Jones. Frances is survived by three daughters, Marilyn "Manny" Slishevsky of the Onondaga Nation, Carol "Babe" Donaldson of Parish, New York and Beverly Dressel of Mantua, New Jersey; three sons, Robert Jones of Rochester, New York, Maxwell Jones of Syracuse, New York and Christopher Attaway of Liverpool, New York; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Services: Thursday, September 23, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Gibson Road, Onondaga Nation.
