Obituary of Hazel McMillan

Hazel McMillan, age 89, of The Valley, died Friday, August 27, 2004 at home. Hazel was born Deptember 30, 1914 in Belfast Ireland, the daughter of William amd Margaret (Campbell) Smythe. She was previously employed by Flah & Co. and she retired from Community General Hospital as a Supervisor of Unit Clerks. She was a long term volunteer at Community General Hospital, a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and St. Ann?s Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. McMillan, April 11, 1983. Hazel is survived by her two daughters, Judith Doherty of Endicott, New York and Jean Kimber of Jamesville, New York; one sister, Esme McBride of Binghamton, New York; three grandchildren, Michael Kimber of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Leslie O'Reilly of Brookline, Massachusetts and Mark Doherty of Barneveld, New York; one great-grandson, William Kimber of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Services: Monday, August 30, 2004, 2:00 p.m. in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 5013 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York with Rev. Edward Caldwell and her nephew Rev. William Smythe officiating.
