Obituary of Howard P. John

Howard Paul John, 89, died Saturday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he worked for Marsellus Casket Co. over 35 years, retiring in 1977. He was an accomplished bowler and an Army veteran of WW II. He is preceded in death by his wife June E. John in 1996. Survivors: His daughters, Patricia John from Jamesville, Linda John from N. Syracuse, Mary (George) Clarke from Brewerton, and Joyce (Dan) Morrison from Clay. Son, Paul H. (Shari) John from Fairmount. Sisters, Dorothy Butts from Waterloo, Florence Shiels from Eastwood, Mary Waldau from Syracuse and Pauline Thompson from Riverside, CA. Eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in St. James Church 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse.
