I was Mary's bridge teacher a few years ago..She had a wonderful manner- always smiling. I always admire anyone who makes a committment to learning bridge, and Mary was no exception. And I think she enjoyed the time she spent at the bridge table.I'm glad I had a chance to know her.gerry radway

Mary was a beautiful elegant lady that was adored by her husband Bill. May their love for each other live on through all of us who knew them.

My sincere sympathies to the entire family. I didn't know Mary but I grew up around the corner from the tire shop and knew Chet, Johnny and Billy.Donna TurcotDavis, CA

...I never had the pleasure to meet or know Mrs. Mary M. Field. However, I was able to see her love and spirit in the eyes of her daughter, my dear friend, Kathy Field. To the Field Children and Relatives:My deepest sorrow and sympathy during this difficult time of the loss of your beloved mother and cherished family member.

Morgan and I extend our deepest sympathy to the family on Mary's passing. She was a beautiful woman in every way, with a beautiful faith which I amn sure sustained her in the difficult days. She bore her illness with grace, a model for everyone who knew her.It was my good fortune to meet Mary as a bridge partner in 2000 as she was adjusting to the loss of her beloved Bill. Usually this sounds rather trite, but in Mary's case I truly believe that she is happy to be with Bill now. She missed him terribly. One of our bonds was the coincidence that Bill and my husband's cousin car-pooled together to LeMoyne, back in the 1940s. Further coincidence, said cousin also went into the tire business, with Firestone in Akron. Fortunately Mary was able to enjoy some good years at the Corinthian Club and I consider every moment I spent with her to be a jewel. You've selected a lovely photo of her, which perfectly captures her loveliness. I don't know of anyone who met her who didn't comment on her beauty and how perfectly she was always turned out.I feel very frustrated that I will be coming north one day too late to attend Mary's services, but I will try to pay a visit to her grave. We had stayed somewhat in touch during this past year since I have moved south, and she was on my mind and in my prayers every day as she soldiered on in her battle against that cruel disease. She was a true gem, and she will be missed. The greatest tribute we can pay is to be as much like her in every was as we possibly can.Our sincere condolences to all of you whom she loved so much, but especially to the grandchildren of whom she was so proud and spoke so often. They were among the lights of her life. With deepest sympathy,Sharon Doyle(Mrs. Morgan Doyle)
