Obituary of Henry Wilson Wemple

Henry W. Wemple, 93, of Spring Hill, Florida died Thursday, July 8, 2004 at his daughter's home in Nedrow, New York. Henry was born August 15, 1910 in Schenectady, New York, the son of Harvey D. and Florence E. (Selmser) Wemple. He lived in Fultonville, New York working for General Electric in Schenectady, then moved to Vernon Center, New York where he retired in 1974 from General Electric in Utica, New York as an Electronic Drafting Supervisor. He lived in Vernon Center from 1957-1976 before moving to Spring Hill in 1976. He was an operator of amateur radio station W2EQO, a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association, a Democratic Committeeman and was actively involved with Scouting. He was founder of the Leisure Hills Civic Assoc. and was a member of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church. His interests included Archaeology where he earned a Bachelors Degree and was past President of the NYS Archaeology Society. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Wemple in 1992 and a son, James Harvey in 1957. Survivors: Two daughters, Nancy Dowling of Nedrow, New York and Patricia Nabinger of Delhi, New York; son, David H. Wemple of Oswego, New York; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Graveside Service: Saturday, September 4, 2004, 11:00 a.m. in Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, New York. Contributions: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
