Obituary of Frederick W. Crabtree

Frederick W. Crabtree, 82, of Nedrow, New York died Monday, July 5, 2004 at home. Frederick was born July 9, 1921 in Syracuse, New York the son of Samuel and Katherine (Timan) Crabtree. He was a graduate of Blodgett Vocational High School. He was a member of Carpenter's Local #747 since 1945. He was employed by J. D. Taylor Construction and Syracuse City School District as a carpenter foreman, retiring in 1988 after 40 years. He was a member and Past Master of Konosioni Lodge 950 F&AM, and a 52 year member of Scottish Rite Bodies of the AASR. He was an Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, the former Louise C. Chappell; two daughters, Anita Crabtree of Syracuse, New York and Lisa (Steve) Sofranko of LaFayette, New York; four grandchildren, Jennifer Cusato, Stephen, Traci and Nicole Sofranko; one great-grandson, Branden Pope; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services: Friday, July 9, 2004, 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Syracuse. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York.
