Obituary of Helen J. Guido

Helen J. Van Slyke Guido, age 77, of Syracuse, New York died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Helen was born October 10, 1926 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Louis and Mildred (Brown) Van Slyke. A native and life resident of Syracuse, she attended St. James Church. She was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur Palmer, who died in 1956. Helen is survived by her husband of 45 years, George A. Guido; four daughters: Linda M. (Theodore "Ted") Rudick of Weedsport, New York, Donna J. Palmer of Syracuse, New York, Rose M. Guido of Syracuse, New York and Mary L. Guido of Cortland, New York; two sisters: Jean Kies of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Barbara King of East Syracuse, New York; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Services: Wednesday, May 26, 2004, 10:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Monsignor Robert Davern. Burial: St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus, New York.
