Obituary of Robert F. Bob" Murphy

Robert Francis Murphy, 77 of Nedrow, New York, died Friday, May 14, 2004 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Born April 19, 1927 in Auburn, New York, the son of Frank and Laura (Niland) Murphy, Bob resided in the Syracuse area for the 40 years. Bob ran his own construction business for more than 50 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Auburn Drum and Bugle Corps, American Legion, Past President and Coach for Valley Little League and past member of Nedrow Fire Dept. Bob was a devoted Yankee and Notre Dame fan, enjoyed working in his yard and was very proud of his Irish heritage. Survivors: His wife of 55 years, Betty (Conley) Murphy; one daughter Deborah (Bud) Neuman and their children, Kimberly, Lynda, Michael and Jon of Baldwinsville, New York; three sons, Gary and his children Maggie and Jimmy of Syracuse, New York; Jim (Margarita) and their son Ian of Nedrow, New York; John (Kristen) and their children Colleen and Claire of Auburn, Alabama; and three great grandchildren. Services: Tuesday, May 18, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse with Father Henry Pedzich officiating. et, Syracuse.
