Obituary of William G. Ritzel

William G. Ritzel Jr., age 79, of Syracuse, New York died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville, New York. William was born December 3, 1924 in Utica, New York, the son of William Sr. and Anna (Lanning) Ritzel. He graduated from Proctor High School in Utica. He was a supervisor for Accurate Die Casting in Syracuse for 42 years. He was a member and Paramedic for Manlius Fire Department, member of the Elks Club and a communicant of St. Mary?s Church in Jamesville, New York. He was an Army veteran of WWIl serving in the Normandy Invasion, Battle of the Bulge and Bastogne, Belgium. William is survived by his wife of 55 years, Teresa (Turchetti) Ritzel; two daughters, Roxanne Ritzel-McDowell of Massachusetts and Rhonda Ritzel of Arlington, Virginia. Memorial Service: Friday, April 30, 2004, 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 6437 E. Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville, New York, A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Raymond B. Wood.
