Obituary of Edward D. Donohue

Edward D. Donohue Jr., age 64, of Syracuse, New York, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at home. Edward was born September 2, 1939 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Edward D. and Mary (Phelan) Donohue. He retired from Hofmann Sausage Company in 2001 after 43 years with the company. He was a graduate of St. Anthony?s School and a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was an avid license plate and gun collector. Ed is survived by his wife of 42 years, A. Joyce (Smith) Donohue; two daughters, Lisa Doerle and Michele Kearney (Jeff) both of Syracuse, New York; one son: Edward D. Donohue III (AnneMarie) of Camillus, New York; two brothers, James (Marcia) and William (Liane); father-in-law, Garrison H. Smith; eight grandchildren, Jacob Donohue, Christopher Doerle, Margaret Doerle, Alice Kearney, Erin Kearney, Ellen Kearney, Kevin Donohue, Shane Donohue; great-grandson, Jacob Donohue Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father, Edward Sr. in 1982 and his mother Mary in 1994. Services: Saturday, March 27, 2004, 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
