Obituary of Charles J. LeBeau

Charles J. LeBeau, age 75, of Syracuse, New York died Saturday, February 21, 2004 at home. Charles was born April 25, 1928 in Ogdensburg, New York, the son of Charles O. and Anna (Barr) LeBeau. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Lawrence School of Nursing and received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University in 1965. He worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Benjamin Rush. He retired from Community General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1987. He served in the Air Force post occupation Japan and retired as a Lt. Colonel from the Army Reserves. He was a member of American Legion Valley Post 1468. Charles is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Mary A. and Edward Dowd of Shoreham, New York and Patricia L. and Stephen Chiurazzi of Pasadena, Maryland; one sister, Mary L. Reynolds of Odgensburg, New York; two nephews, John Abar of North Syracuse, New York and John Omicinski of Syracuse, New York; two nieces, Barb Omicinski of Syracuse, New York and Mary Giles of Lutz, Florida; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bernadine S. Samoraj in 1999 and a sister, Margaret Abar in 2002. Services: Thursday, February 26, 2004, 8:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Monsignor Robert Davern. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee Street, Dewitt, New York.
