Obituary of Richard Wesley Kennedy

Richard Wesley "Wes" Kennedy, 95, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2004 at Heritage Park Health Care Center in Jamestown, New York. Richard was born September 26, 1908 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Richard and Marguerite (Lynch) Cuddabba. He lived much of his life in The Valley section of the city. As a young man he was employed as a chauffeur for State Appellate Judge William T. Andrews of Taunton, New York. Subsequently, he was employed by Frank Gabriel Automotive, The Syracuse Cold Storage Co. and Crouse-Hinds. He was an avid bowler, fisherman, card player and grandfather. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his son, Philip Kennedy of Jamestown, New York; daughter, Sharon Kennedy of Syracuse, New York; grandchildren, Patrick and Amie, Matthew and Juliana, Hugh and Kimberly Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Collin, Brendan, Taylor and Karley Kennedy and granddogs, Autie, Suzi, Ikey and Chleo. He was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Mary B. Koch Kennedy and his daughter-in-law, Patricia McCarthy Kennedy. Services: Tuesday, February 10. 2004, 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Monsignor Robert Davern. Bural: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York. Calling Hours: Tuesday, February 10, 2004, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church, 4845 S. Salina St., Syracuse, New York.
