Obituary of Marguerite P. Cain

Marguerite P. Cain, age 95, formerly of 127 Bishop Avenue, Syracuse, New York died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Marguerite was born February 15, 1908 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Joseph and Pauline (Beck) Schlegel. She was a life resident of the Syracuse area. She was a homemaker, a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a former member of their Altar & Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Cain, who passed away in 1981. Mrs. Cain is survived by her two sons, Robert J. Cain of Syracuse, New York and Richard C. and his wife Anne Cain of Liverpool, New York; one sister, Irene Konrad of Syracuse, New York; Sister-in-law, Ruth Schlegel of Syracuse, New York; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services: Tuesday, January 6, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Monsignor Robert Davern officiating. Burial: Assumption Cemetery, 2401 Court Street, Syracuse, New York. Calling Hours: Monday, January 5, 2004, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 6, 2004, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York.
