Obituary of Charles F. Ranieri

Charles Ranieri, 66, of 14 Kiwassa Road, Saranac Lake, died Monday, October 27, 2003, at his home. Born in Syracuse on April 12, 1937, he was the son of Victor and Julie (Harte) Ranieri. Mr. Ranieri had been a resident of Saranac Lake since 1992, coming from Syracuse where he was employed by the Crucuble Steel Co. until his retirement that year. After moving to Saranac Lake he worked on the restoration of the Santanoni Apartment building and cooked at camp Bedford for the Boy Scouts for two years. Mr. Ranieri was active in the Boy Scouts of America for more than 30 years and was cub master for Pack #9 in Saranac Lake for many years. He was a member of the Whiteface Mountain Masonic Lodge F&AM #789 for the past five years. He volunteered for five years on the construction of the Saranac Lake Ice Palace. Survivors: two sons: Charles Ranieri Jr. of Brasher Falls and David Ranieri of Syracuse; two daughters: Judy Ranieri of Camillus and Victoria Ranieri of Syracuse; two grand-daughters: Sarah Ranieri of Syracuse and Katherine Ranieri of Syracuse; one brother: Victor Ranieri of Cranston, R.I.; and close companion, Adelaide LaRocque of Saranac Lake.
