Obituary of Henry J. Karl

Henry J. Karl, age 94, of Syracuse, New York died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Community General Hospital. Henry was born November 17, 1908 in Germany, the son of Heinrich J. and Johanna (Ott) Karl. He retired in 1980 after 50 years as the owner and operator of Hacker & Karl?s Garage. He was a lifetime member of Torpy?s Pond Outdoor Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice V. (Hatch) Karl, March 1, 1989. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Carole Karl of East Syracuse, New York; one sister, Johanna Grill of Germany; granddaughter, Lisa Stone of Central Square, New York; grandson, John Karl of Manlius, New York; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews in Germany. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be private in White Chapel Memory Gardens, Kinne Road, Dewitt, New York.
